The opportunities available to students outside the university are in abundance and of immense value. These opportunities which include, but aren’t limited to Conferences, Internships and Summer Schools are very beneficial for students. Internships are wonderful experiences that are essentially their first step into working in the real world and often help launch their career. Participation in Tournaments (such as ACM-ICPC) and Conferences (such as CVPR, ICML) are brilliant learning opportunities for the students. Not only do they help students get exposure to cutting-edge technologies and research ideas, but the students represent IIT Kharagpur and India and thus are also an immense source of pride for our University and Country. Thus we aim to provide funding for our students to pursue these opportunities and represent IIT Kharagpur on a National and Global scale.
To further support the students at IIT Kharagpur we would also like to invite Professors and Professionals to come and impart their knowledge and experience. This helps provide exposure to the student community as a whole and helps us build connections with companies and other universities, which is very beneficial in the long run.
