The existing infrastructure in the department is old and requires renewing; the rooms such as CSE 119 and CSE 120 have poor lighting and sitting facilities which lead to problems in long lectures and exams whicha are held there. The limitation of not having plug points (like Nalanda) also limits the ways in which the room can be used for workshops and academic events.
The systems and their peripherals in labs are old and are buggy most of the times. A batch of new mouse, keyboards and monitors would flourish the lab and the environment it creates for the students studying. These labs can then be used for Course Labs as well and, in designated hours, can be used by students as study area as well.
The course pertaining labs such as Switching Circuits lab suffers from the issue of having old circuit boards which lead to poor performance by the student and also a lot of wastage of time which could be spend efficiently in learning. The resistors, transistors and other small equipments also need to be bought as there is shortage of the same in hardware labs.
